The problem with a wall of windows

Glass is great until about two in the afternoon. Then the west side of the building turns into a greenhouse, the sales team by the windows is working in a squint, the HVAC runs flat out to keep up, and the merchandise in the front display slowly bleaches out. Most businesses solve it with blinds — which works, in the sense that covering the windows solves the problem of having windows.

Window film solves it differently. It goes on the glass you already have, rejects a big share of the solar heat and effectively all of the UV, and leaves you the daylight and the view.

What we install

• Solar & heat-control film — cuts the afternoon heat load on west- and south-facing glass, which evens out hot and cold spots and takes pressure off the HVAC.

• Security film — a heavier laminate that holds broken glass together instead of letting it fall out of the frame.

Measured and installed on site

Building glass is unforgiving: a bubble or a lifted edge on a ten-foot storefront pane is visible from the parking lot. We measure on site, prep each pane, and install by hand, working around your hours so we're not applying film across your front windows during your lunch rush. Because we're based in O'Fallon, scheduling a walk-through is a short drive, not a dispatch.
