What does window tinting cost?

Tint pricing isn't one number, and the shops advertising one are usually quoting the cheapest film on the smallest car. Here's what actually moves the price.

The five things that set the price

  • How many windows. The single biggest factor. Front two only is a fraction of a full vehicle, and a cargo van with eight panes is a different job from a coupe with four.
  • The shape of the glass. Flat glass is quick. Steeply curved rear windshields need the film heat-shrunk to fit compound curves — that's skill and time, and it's where bad installs come from.
  • The film grade. Dyed film is cheap and fails; ceramic costs more and performs. You're mostly paying for heat rejection and longevity.
  • Old film removal. Stripping failed tint is real labour, especially on rear glass, where the defroster lines have to survive the process. Budget for it if your current tint is bubbled or purple.
  • Extras. A windshield visor strip, a rear-glass-only job, or matching an existing shade across a fleet all shift the number.

Why we don't post a price

Because "tint from $99" is a number for one film on one vehicle, and almost nobody ends up paying it. We'd rather look at your actual glass and give you a figure you can plan around. Quotes are free and usually back within one business day.

The cheapest tint you'll ever buy

If you're already getting a wrap, tint it in the same visit. The vehicle is in the bay, the prep is done, and there's no second drop-off — so we discount the film. Same product, lower price, one appointment. That's the wrap + tint package, and it's the single easiest way to lower what tint costs you.

Think about it over the life of the film

Cheap dyed film that needs stripping and redoing in three years costs more than quality ceramic that outlives your ownership of the vehicle — and you pay the removal labour twice. Same logic we apply to wrap pricing: the cost that matters is cost per year, not the number on the first invoice.
